On Good Friday we turn our gaze to the cross and recognize Christ's most loving sacrifice for us, His crucifixion. Good Friday is the most solemn day of the year and is the only day in the entire year in which no Mass is celebrated. While we have the Liturgy of the Lord's Passion the evening of Good Friday, there is no consecration. Holy Communion uses Eucharist consecrated on Holy Thursday.
